Plateau United forward, George Akpabio, has been named in the Nigeria Premier League Team of The Week for match day 25.
Akpabio was named in the squad for his impressive performance at Bukola Babes on match day 25, where his team got a draw, on Sunday.
In fact, Plateau United were close to a famous away win, but for a late penalty converted by Abdulrahman Bashir.
Although, the club's top scorer was not on the score sheet during the road trip, he palyed a significant role to help his team. Akpabio's teammates, Stanley Dimgba and Emmanuel Odafe got the goals.
Plateau United gaffer, Bitrus Bewarang was named as Coach of The Week.
The club now have 23 points from 25 matches, but still hover in the drop zone with seven points behind 16th placed Niger Tornadoes on 30 points.
